Spotlight: January 2004:: Raju & I

Raju & I is a 30 minute animated film developed by my friends at Animagic for Aseema, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works for street children in India. I have been waiting and watching from the sidelines ever since the project began. Gayatri Rao, the director of Raju & I, has had me entranced and riveted with updates on the 'happenings' as the film developed. And what a roller-coaster ride it has been! Worth every second!! Kudos to the Animagic Team for winning the Grand Jury Prize for Animation at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival held in November, 2003. Raju & I left a trail of awards and nominations in India, too: Won best Indian 2D Animated film at the Seagate Broadcast India Awards 2003 Selected to inaugurate the 0110-Indo-British Digital Film Festival Selected to show at 'The Week With the Masters' film competition in Trivandrum, India (Nov 2003) See clips from the animation film and read more about it on Gayatri's web site but stand forewarned that the site is in Flash!
